Looking great Matt!

Id love to see that cutaway when its done. Ive always like the look of an integrated heel with the cutaway.

Matt, they both look great to me!

Looks like you are going to have your hands full with the neck set on the second one though. It will be a really cool looking guitar when you're done I'm sure.

Matt, I hope you don't get it closed before the get together. I'd like to see inside that one. Very nice.

Matt,
Looks like you're up to your usual high level of craft.
They look great.
Are you getting those ready for the LINT show in Mansfield? (If so, I'll have to work a bit harder. )

Love the shape!!!! Very creative. Is that an armrest on the cutaway? Sure
does look like it and looks like it's going to look pretty darn slick.

Thanks everybody.

When I drew up that shape I knew the neck set would be an issue. I normally use a flush mounted bolt-on neck, but I figured the tenon would give me lateral stability and keep it from wanting to slip off the body!

as far as bracing I tried all parabolic for the first time. I've never built using heavily scalloped braces anyway, but I did everything parabolic, I'll let you know how it works out. Also, width of the second guitar is only 14.5" at the lower bout. I didn't want to have 2 tone bars crammed into that small space so I compromised, and put 1 tonebar and a bridge brace; it has worked out nicely.

Ron- sorry bud, too late the box is put together.

Steve- it is for the LINT show, so you better bring you're A-game. On second thought bring your C or D game, so I don't look like a fool

Danny- Yeah that is an armrest, it is curly maple block, and will have curly mpale binding, should be sweet.

Matt,

I'm a bit late here, but I just wanted to agree with the others--very nice! That curvy, small body looks mighty cool, and it is definitely NOT overbraced! Keep us posted on your progress.
